come home soon

i got a call this morning from toshio at the camera repair shop in nj. apparently my mirror falling out is a known issue, so he’s handing my 5d over to canon to fix. two of my lenses don’t need anything done, but the other three i sent need adjustments. the canon repair will set me back another three days, so i could be looking at a week or two more without my main equipment.

at least i’m not completely stranded. i had a 450d converted to infrared only a few months ago, and i’ve got a pile of old manual focus lenses that work with it. i ended up shooting a few things with it at the ranch right after the mirror incident rendered my other body unusable. i’m glad i had the forethought to bring the ir body along!

in related news, i’m pretty delighted with the blog. so far, anyway. i need to add navigation and external links, and i need to set aside a bit of time this weekend to work on the store. shop? i’m not sure what to call it just yet. either way, i’ve been selling quite a bit in the past few months, and it’s silly that i’ve put this off so long. things will be much easier for everyone once people can shop online right here at my site.

if you’re not on the facebook page yet, come join! i’ve given away a few pendants already and plan to give away some prints and maybe even a photo shoot or two (when i get my camera back, anyway). facebook.com/haleylunaphotography

I came looking for chicken stuff, and I am leaving totally captivated by your beautiful artwork. You are geneis! What talent! I know nothing about photagraphy other than I have an eye for symetry and balance and I appreciate beautiful things.
I am earnestly trying to get into the know on getting our chickens legal. I read the article that was in the Gazette, a BYC reader put me on to it. and your website. Please let me help with this endeavor. It is very important to me to work on this cause.
Keep up the good and beautiful work!
